What is clergy coaching?
Our working definition is: clergy coaching is formal assistance given as one strives to effectively “go from here to there” generally by enhancing performance.
How does clergy coaching work?
Generally, coaching takes place by phone, with each session lasting for 50-60 minutes. The typical coaching relationship begins with a six-session agreement, with additional sessions available.
What is the result?
Typically, the clergy person who is coached reaches his or her performance goal, with gratitude.
Who is the clergy coach?
Pastor Jeff Hawkins has been trained as a clergy coach by Samaritan Interfaith/Garrett Theological Seminary and is a member of the International Coach Federation.
What is the cost?
The regular fee for clergy coaching is $125/session. The initial coaching covenant is for six sessions, because a coaching relationship requires six sessions to become established and fruitful. Additional sessions can be scheduled on an as-needed basis. Those currently enrolled in an on-farm clergy group or a Clergy Care and Challenge group receive a 25% discount on coaching fees.
